Bus service, operated by the Port Authority of Allegheny County(PAT), provides fast transit service from the Lower Station of The Duquesne Incline into Downtown Pittsburgh's "Golden Triangle. All bus routes serve the Gateway Center area and serve stops within a block of the Gateway Center Subway Station. A few bus routes serve Liberty Avenue and Penn Avenue, as far east as Smithfield Street, Seventh Avenue, and Ninth Street; these are the bus routes 26E, 26U, 31D, and 31E.

Bus service, from the Lower Incline Station into Downtown, is quite frequent Monday through Saturday up until 6:00 p.m. At other times, bus service frequency may vary from ten minutes to thirty minutes. Below are schedules of bus service from the Lower Incline Station to Downtown. The times given are taken from PAT bus schedules. Times are approximate(as most time points used are west of The Duquesne Incline); Incline patrons should be at the inbound bus stop(first floor of the Lower Incline Station building) at least three-to-five minutes before the time given.
